WINES FROM PUGLIA IN BAG IN BOX
Puglia, with its generous sun, the crystalline sea of Salento and the red soil of Murgia, is a true paradise for viticulture. This region of southern Italy offers an extraordinary variety of wines, capable of satisfying every palate, ennobling the native varieties of the land of origin, such as:

Negroamaro: red grape variety suitable for making red and rosé wines, characterized by notes of cherry and plum with herbaceous and Mediterranean contours that emerge based on the chosen winemaking method.

On Sfusobuono you can find both versions.

  • Rosè Wine Salento IGT 3L by Agricola Q: a rosé version of Negroamaro that pays homage to the region's best-known grape variety, in a winemaking style known throughout Italy. A versatile wine, which can very well accompany a simple aperitif on the beach, as well as a typical local lunch. Honorable mention goes to the famous Pescaria fish sandwich, a chain now widespread throughout the country, but which has its first and historic headquarters in Polignano a Mare.
  • Rosso Quotidiano Puglia 3L - Natalino del Prete: the best known version is certainly in red, capable of bringing out all the Apulian territoriality with a fruity and spicy nose and a full, fresh and balanced sip. This Negroamaro bag in box is based more on lightness than on body and, unlike the usual southern reds, it focuses more on drinkability rather than structure.

Other typical grapes are certainly Primitivo, Sussumaniello, Aglianico, Verdeca, Bombino Bianco and Pampanuto which find their perfect realization in purity, but also in blending with international vines.

DISCOVERING THE DIFFERENT WINE AREAS OF PUGLIA
Soil and microclimate, together with the inevitable hand of the winemaker, are the main ingredients for the perfect success of a wine. The soils, ranging from calcareous to more clayey, influence the minerality and complexity of the wines, while the Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters, favors the ripening of the grapes and gives the wines a fruity and sunny character. In a dedicated and sun-kissed region like Puglia, there are many production areas worth mentioning:

  • Daunia and Alta Murgia (north): characterized by calcareous soils and a continental climate, this area is famous for full-bodied and structured red wines. The Morasinsi winery is located in Minervino Murge, managed by the young and enthusiastic Sveva who creates natural wines from native varieties such as Pampanuto and Aglianico.
  • Bassa Murgia and Valle d'Itria (center): here the soil is more clayey and calcareous, giving rise to more elegant and complex wines. We find important denominations such as Castel del Monte, with its wines based on Bombino Nero and Nero di Troia..
  • Salento (south): the tip of the boot is the home of Primitivo di Manduria, an intense and full-bodied red wine. In addition to this, we find other important denominations such as Alezio, Brindisi and Salice Salentino. The Agricola Q winery is based in Salento, founded and managed by Antonio Quarta together with his partner Mina del Prete.

If you are looking for Apulian wines in bag in box to drink at home or to serve at your next party with friends, Sfusobuono is the right place for you with a vast choice of labels from all over Italy.
