Colleformica is a true family business, one of those wineries you fall in love with as soon as you meet the people behind it, then you taste the wine and... they lived happily ever after! We are in Lazio, a region which lived for a long time in the shadows of the "wine world" which counts and that now is living its rebirth, a Lazio 2.0 focused on the production ofnatural wines from the region. Colle Formica is where the winery is located and named after, in Velletri, 45 km south of Rome; the Bombetti family has been stable here since the 1800s, but only since the 2018 harvest, Paolo and his dad started to convert their work to sustainable agriculture.
Colleformica does not act invasively either in the vineyard or in the cellar: they practice organic farming and keep away from any kind of insecticide and synthetic products, relying on spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts and when some doubts come up just look to the moon.
At Colleformica bulk wine has never been made a lot, but since 2021 Paolo has had it in his head to give a different life to his entry level mass of Malvasia di Candia and Trebbiano Toscano vinified in fiberglass, and here it is, the Bianco Formica in bag in box!
