At Sfusobuono, we collaborate only with small independent winemakers who work in harmony with nature: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, low levels of added sulfites, no filtration and no fining. The boxed wines in this selection embody the wild side of natural wine.
WHO IS THIS COLLECTION FOR?
Our Super Natural Wines collection is designed for those who:
- love wines 'made like they used to be': just like our grandparents made them, without chemicals or stabilisers in the cellar, so the true soul of the grape, the soil and the surrounding microclimate reaches the glass.
- know that white wine aren't always white: often they are orange wines, also called Skin-contact Wines. These whites are vinified like reds, with long maceration on the skins that imparts colour, texture and complexity.
- aren't afraid of a little volatile acidity or reduction: not seen as flaws anymore, but rather as signs of authenticity. A light touch of VA can appear during spontaneous fermentation and, in small amounts, brings freshness and vibrancy as our BIM BUM BAM Vino Bianco 3L Le Quattro Volte. Reduction, linked to low-oxygen conditions (such as inside a bag-in-box), can show closed or slightly sulphurous aromas, but often disappears with aeration, revealing clean and direct flavours.
