CROCIZIA
Crocizia is nestled in Pastorello di Langhirano, right in the heart of the Parma hills. The estate was founded in 1992 by Marco Rizzardi alongside his father, Aurelio. Welcoming visitors to the cellar alongside the family are the resident geese, a constant presence ever since Marco planted his very first vines around the house. Sitting at an altitude of 500 meters, the vineyards thrive on limestone soils rich in minerals and organic matter, a unique terroir that shines brightly in every wine crafted here.
Crocizia is a familiar name in the natural wine scene, best known for its lively and joyful bottle-fermented sparkling wines. These bottles pay wonderful tribute to the region’s native grapes and its most traditional winemaking style. But alongside their signature bubbles, Crocizia has always crafted exceptional still wines using typical local varieties, most notably, Malvasia di Candia Aromatica. Today, we are absolutely thrilled to offer this beautiful still Malvasia in a convenient bag-in-box format, right here on Sfusobuono.
With Crocizia, we set out to discover the more everyday face of skin contact white wine, not created to follow a taste trend, but proposed as a traditional and peasant wine-making style. The label of Sfusobuono shows a man relaxing on a bench after getting off his bicycle: an image of carefreeness and lightness that is a little reminiscent of Walter Benjamin's aura and that reflects us a little when we realise that we are simply happy and grateful to be able to rest on this bench, sipping a glass of Crocizia wine, from a box.
