The history of this family stretches back generations and hasn't missed a beat since. It all started in the early 1900s with Giuseppe Adriano working the land as a sharecropper; today, several generations later, the mission remains exactly the same: making wine that stays true to its roots. First came Aldo, then Marco and Vittorio, who took the leap in the '90s to start bottling their own labels and sharing them with the world. Here, wine isn't just a job: it’s a steady handoff of heritage, craft, and vision.

We’re located in Alba, in the small hamlet of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio, one of the specific areas in the Langhe where Barbaresco is born. The estate covers about 30 hectares of vineyards, including Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Moscato and Sauvignon, all nestled alongside hazelnut groves and woods that form a single natural balance. Our work in the rows is increasingly focused on environmental respect, with no chemical weeding for years, self-produced energy, and sustainable resource management. This isn’t a choice made for appearances; it’s a tangible, everyday way of looking after the land.

Why did we choose to partner with the Adriano family? Because they are the perfect embodiment of the kind of wine we love: artisanal, independent and rooted in the land. Here, they work exclusively with estate-grown grapes, overseeing the entire process from vine to bottle without taking any shortcuts. There is plenty of care, but also a good dose of pragmatism: these are wines made to be truly enjoyed, straightforward and unpretentious. Our collaboration started with Michela, the young, energetic face of the family’s new generation, shortly after the Grandi Langhe event. We were thrilled to see her featured in a Gambero Rosso article tackling a hot topic close to our hearts: how Langa wineries feel about selling Nebbiolo in Bag-in-Box. Her take was (luckily) positive, and well… here we are!
