We have seen (and lived) everything about this Macerato and here you will find a summary of its story so far: white wine vinification of grapes from the outer parts of the vineyard in Vezza d'Alba - Piedmont, Roero - harvested on August 20th (to have low alcohol content and lots of acidity) and 5 days of skin contact maceration of the finest grapes from the next two harvests. This all took place in concrete tanks outside the winery; the final packaging took place on December 10th.
A kind of infusion, as with tea, but in this case the skins are the bag and the must from the first vintage is the boiling water. Do you want a more intense tea? Let the bag steep longer, and that's more or less how we did it, with the Macerato.
Here you have a Macerato in bag-in-box! Drink it with french fries, typical italian salami, patatas bravas dipped in mayonnaise and ajoli and scrambled eggs on toast.
